Australia is the world’s leading producer of bauxite and alumina, the second largest producer of uranium, lead and zinc, the third largest producer of iron ore, nickel, manganese ores and gold and the fourth largest producer of black coal, silver and copper.

This is a map of all the of the minerals that are found in Australia and where they were found. We can see that in the Western area of Western Australia they found Iron. In the south easterly region of Australia there is quite a mix but mainly in Victoria there is Gold. |
Energy ResourcesAustralia has a huge variety of renewable energy resources such as wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, wave, tidal and bioenergy. All of these have low greenhouse gas emissions. With the exception of hydro and wind energy many of these resources are largely undeveloped, constrained by the current immaturity of technologies.
